In school, I am a very visual learner. Also kinesthetic learner. I seem to keep more information in after hearing it too. I also learn by doing.
I think in life I always learn by experience. It almost a necessity for me to learn the hard way. But that's the only way things really sink in. I will never again move across the country on a whim thinking I am invincible, but apparently I had to do it to find that and much more out about myself and life.
I think also learn by repetitiveness. In dance I like to watch and do at the same time and it is even easier to watch and do with the music. Doing things with the music makes them make a lot more sense a lot faster for some reason.

ReplyDeleteI really like the way that you analyzed the Studio Habits of Mind through your own artistic process. It is a great example of how the hanbits work, they reinforce and engage each other as the mature artists makes. She is able to draw on each of the habits and apply them to stay in and advance the process.
Do you have something "like" Twyla Tharp's box? How do you capture ideas and refer to them later?
